What can I say, this product simply works for my Intel NUC 11 Enthusiast Phantom Canyon.My PC features NVIDIA RTX 2060 (mobile variant). Simply plug into mDP port and link it to HDMI cable and voila!!I'm getting silky smooth 4K 120hz on my LG C1 4K 120hz cable TV with HDMI 2.1 ports.One thing I noticed was that the dongle requires USB connection for power and it gets REALLY HOT!I put a small fan next to the dongle so it cools it just enough.I highly recommend this product for someone who has similar set up. (NVIDIA RTX variants)

I purchased several ACTIVE miniDP to HDMI adaptors when the first one I ordered did not work on my Mac. My setup - 2013 Mac Pro, Yosemite OSX, 1 UHD monitor, 1 Thunderbolt Display, 1 HDMI display. When using multiple monitors (more then 2 it seems) a 'normal miniDP to HDMI adaptor or direct HDMI connection would not work as one or several of the monitors pictures would cycle on and off or 'flash'. So an ACTIVE mimiDP to HDMI adaptor is needed to 'offload' the conversion step from the GPU to the adaptor to stop picture flashing. The Mac Pro only puts DD (Dolby digital) or multichannel surround sound out through DP or HDMI so the adaptor needs to pass at least 5.1 surround (I believe this unit will pass 7.1) to get surround sound from this Mac. While the previous active adaptor I purchased advertised DD passthrough, that was not the case. I don't quite know why but it seems to do with Apples implementation of surround and how it's formatted?? Anyway, the Uptad unit passes the surround audio perfectly to my amplifier and also allows me to use my third monitor which is connected through the amplifier allowing a 3rd desktop. No configuration is needed and it worked right out of the box. I do get several seconds of screen blink when I turn on the third monitor or the amplifier when the computer is already running but I can't see how it's this unit but rather the computer GPU adjusting for the new condition.

I have confirmed that this adapter can drive 4K resolution at 60Hz using a Macbook Pro 2014 Retina with an nvidia 750M graphics card built in. A couple important things to know:1) When hot plugging this adapter while the computer is running, it will freeze your laptop forcing a reboot. You have to boot with it already plugged in, which is a major inconvenience. UPDATE: After upgrading to EL Capitan this problem appears to have gone away. This advice given to me when contacting support - they did get back to me promptly, even over a weekend.2) Out of the box the 4K @ 60Hz resolution is not supported by Mac, you have to download a 3rd party software called SwitchResX and create a custom configuration to get this to work at 60Hz. Note that SwitchResX has a 10 day free trial, but requires purchase afterwards.If you can live with the two points above, then you will enjoy this adapter. I'm giving it 4/5 stars because it delivers on 4k @60Hz (a major accomplishment), but a 1 star deduction because of the two points listed above.

I spent six months trying to connect a iMac with thunderbolt to the LG OLED. LG first replaced the TV, then the control board, then told me it was a HDCP 2.2 problem and would do nothing. Apple support assign programer for the past 3 months after testing iMac and sending the data for them to work on. The never solved the problem. I tried this connector and it worked for the video. The sound works too, but does not allow surround sound front the Mac. This is a very good product, with attentive vendor.
